Fees

As Independent Financial Advisers, we are primarily remunerated on a fee basis, which can either be paid directly or taken from within any portfolio established.

Our current fee scales are as follows:

1. An initial consultation at our expense is available for potential clients within a 50-mile radius of Cambridge from 08:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday. Any appointments outside of these times or radius are subject to a £250.00 initial appointment charge. For existing clients, the out of office hours appointment fee is reduced from £250.00 to £150.00 per visit, at our discretion.
2. Should formal investment advice be required, a total initial fee will be quoted at the outset, prior to any work being undertaken. Initial fees are calculated at the rate of 1.00% of the amount being invested, subject to a £500.00 minimum fee, with initial fees being capped at a maximum of £3,000.00.
3. On-going investment advice remains the cornerstone of the investment proposition provided to clients, with a pre-determined level of service being provided for active investment clients. The annual fees that apply for the investment services provided for each individual portfolio are as follows:
   1. Minimum fee £600.00 per annum (equivalent to £50.00 per month)
   2. Maximum fee £3,000.00 per annum (equivalent to £250.00 per month)
   By applying a maximum fee cap, "economies of scale" are obtained for any individual portfolio valued in excess of £300,000.00, as no annual advice fees will applied to the surplus value above this figure.
4. For any advice, reports or tasks requested that are not covered within the stated service levels, time will be charged at £250.00 per hour for advice related matters and £75.00 per hour for administration related duties.
5. We offer a "Transactional only" facility for investors who wish to establish an investment but do not require on-going advice or for their investments to be monitored from an asset allocation, performance, or risk perspective. The cost of providing the initial advice only and establishing any investments required will be charged at our standard hourly rate, subject to a minimum fee of £500.00 being applied. This option is generally more applicable to portfolios of a lesser value.
